heated seats
Then you'll have to go thru it and do some diagnostics.
The first thing I'd check for is to make sure none of the connection points became disconnected. But be careful under there, the airbag squibs are nearby.
If you have a volt/ohm meter check the Seat Heater switch. The whole unit pops out pretty easily and since the passenger side switch is working you can compare the reading to make sure the "behaviors" are the same. Don't forget to check switch with ignition on.

Toxic,
Seat heater should not climb above 113° +/- a few degrees for calibration. That is cooler than a cup of McDonald's coffee (post litigation temperature 140° approximately) and close to the daytime temps of an Iraqi desert. If yours is climbing so high to "fry" you should have it inspected.

In the case of the driver's side only not working I am reminded of my '87 Audi 5000 Turbo Quattro. The wires in the heating elements on the driver's side would break every 50,000 miles or so probably from the forces of getting sat on. Never had the passenger seat or the rear seats (yes they were heated also) break. Had to take it to an upholstery shop to remove the leather, take out the heating mats and insert new ones. Don't know how Lexus does their heated seat, however.
we had a mb 280slk that the elements broke 3 times in a year. MB replaced the entire seat cushion. quite expensive but was under warranty. That, along with other numerous problems is why we now have a lexus. I told my wife when we bought the slk we shouldn't stray away from toyota.
