As far as I know DC GOLD is the only company making a full-range 6 X 9 (N69) in an 8 Ohm version that is single cone, not co-axial. The other issue that most companies in the auto market do not mention is the X-max - the amount of cone excursion. Our DC GOLD has a 0.2" one-way linear X-max; over 1/2" peak to peak so our 6 X 9 has lots of bass. Most of the 6 X 9 speakers have 1/2 of the excursion, hence, less bass.

We offer a three year warranty that covers anything except abuse. Any speaker we have built, we can rebuild for life. After the warranty there is a fee of $75 each speaker for the rebuild. You should have the speaker for a lifetime!

In order to get the version for the Lexus, you need to contact us directly as no dealers are carrying the model yet, I have to fabricate the front bar to limit the excursion and the plastic flange needs to be cut as shown in the pictures above. Call or e-mail for more info.

You could just PM dcgold since the poster seems to be representing the company.

The Cadence is not a bad looking speaker - cannot complain about the price! We are a different animal, built in the USA with a three year warranty and rebuild-able for life. Our 8 ounce neodymium magnet probably cost what their complete speaker costs. If I were replacing the speaker to sell my car, I would buy the Cadence, If I were buying the speaker for MY car to enjoy and live with, I would buy the DC GOLD - of course I am biased.! ; )
Our DC GOLD AUDIO N69LS (Lexus Special) will be available through Sonic ElectroniX exclusively. We developed a special bracket that makes it easier to install, but the front plastic piece will need to have a couple of notches cut out to fit properly.

I repaired both 6x9 door speakers myself rather easily. Bought the kit they sell on Ebay. Before you think about replacing the speakers, I'd definitely consider a repair.

Default Sucessful refoam

Bought $20 kit and first did passenger door - was buzzing awful. Only then realized driver door also needed help. No problem thanks to great posts here and video. What a difference! Base is very strong - even when set on flat. Truly enjoying radio - top up or down. Suggest try refoaming before expense and effort to fit replacement speakers.
