Default Passenger Side Speaker Rattle

My 2002 SC 430 has a rattle in the vicinity of the passenger side speaker. I have isolated it to this area because the rattle stops as soon as I turn off the sound system. Has anyone else experienced this issue or can tell me how to remove the speaker grille and poke around? The grille itself does not seem to be loose. Any help would be appreciated.

Your going to have to pull the door panel to see what is actually loose it could be the speaker frame it could be a torn speaker grill or anything else that might be loose. The panel is not hard to pull do a search on the forum or also try u tube there should be a video out there

There are instructions for removing the door panel on post 37 in this post.

When your passenger's window is part way down, is it ridge in place like the driver's side or does it wobble? I had this once and the window had jumped the track, leaving the track to rattle on vibration.

As said above, this isn't a hard thing to fix. You can buy the speaker repair kit off Ebay and have the speaker repaired in a few minutes...if that is the problem. I have repaired all of my speakers. They are all still going strong.

I agree, blown speaker. Very common if you still have the OEM Mark Levinson speakers. You can replace (new from Lexus or Ebay), repair (as suggested with repair kit or even RTV/silicone glue), or upgrade. If you choose upgrade, I recommend staying with the 8ohm impedance. Just my opinion.
