Default gps issues
The door does not close on my gps anymore.The unit works fine but the open button turns the unit on and the close button turns the unit off.The door stays inside the dash. Has anyone had this issue?

There was a TSB on this. You will need new components to get it going again.

Technical Service Bulletin. This is the official Toyota-Lexus repair bulletin. Also declares what is covered by warranty and what period.

Does it looks like the door is mechancally jammed, or is it the electronics of the door and screen that quit?

If it the electronics, I have a spare control module that might fix your problem. PM me if you need it.

Thanks to all for the info. It turned out to be the tilting motor for the screen that had gone bad. I do have one and should have the unit repaired by the weekend. Thanks to your help I have saved money. Lexus wanted 1,200 to replace the unit.

Fixed the unit on yesterday. The dealer wanted a total replacement of $1,200.00 for a $10.00 part.The motors can be found on Ebay. Thanks once more for all the help.

Sorry about the mis info. I received the mortors from Ebay and they are too big. They do not fit. I had an extra mortor from another unit. I have ordered another set and if they fit I will let you all know.

Got this motor in on today and its was a direct replacement.(HP C8941-60002) the seller on Ebay is Prime Electrontc Components. It is a printer mortor for HP PSC 1200 Series but works perfectly.($11.00)

Just for your information, the gps unit has (2) mortors and they both are the same. One is for the door and the other is for the tilting of the screen. Lexus does not repair this, they want to get the replacement fee. Save money and repair!
