Regular vs RFT's
I am enjoying the ride so much since I removed the RFT's (in March) and replaced them with Michelin P/S A/S plus. Took it on a nice ride to Philly (to see McCartney) last night. With the top down, warm air, it was really enjoyable. Best thing I ever did. Had the spare with me in the back.(I only take it on long trips.
To my surprise, when I arrived at the Wachovia Center, I went into the parking lot and I was directed to a special VIP parking area for those who drove there in a Lexus.

I too switched to the michelin pilot sport A/S plus about a month ago and feel it improved the ride greatly. Haven't gotten around to getting a spare. And i've got my first long trip planned in october and may just wing it.
And how i would love to see sir paul live. Just bought his new york dvd recorded last year i think and came away marveling at how strong his voice is after all these years.
BTW for any folks that love beatles music, and happen to be guitar players (like me) , a guy named Laurence Juber has a cd out with the most amazing fingerstyle arrangements of beatles tunes i've ever heard or seen. All instrumental.

I have not switched out my RFTs yet, but have finally picked up spare. It's simply a matter of time, and it sounds like the michelin pilot sport A/S tires may be a good choice. I've had exceptionally good experiences with all Michelin tires that I've ever purchased, very high quality tires.
Now to McCartney and The Beatles. What many people don’t completely understand about The Beatles is not only did they have fantastic musical arrangements, but they also had two of the best vocalist in rock music at the time, Lennon and McCartney. A great comparison of voices was exhibited on the Hey Jude live video where McCartney sang with Elton John, Sting, Clapton and a few others. If you ever get a chance to watch and listen to this video, you will find the McCartney’s voice stands out above all others by a fairly wide margin. It was not something I had never thought about much, but after seeing this video, there is no question about it, The Beatles had great vocals. They were also good musicians and somewhat underrated, especially Ringo. As Paul put it, the drums usually came first when they wrote songs, and he has the ultimate high praise respect for Ringo’s ability as a drummer. Strange as it was, the lyrics usually came last according to Paul. That surprised me.
I have actually seen Laurence Juber a few times live several years ago when he played with Al Stewart. He took the place Al’s former keyboardist/guitarist, Peter White. I think Laurence also played with Wings for several years. He is a very good guitarist and thanks for the tip of his Beatles CD.

Every so often a left turn is well deserved in life, to many right turns can get a bit dull. One could say we digressed to The Beatles, or perhaps progressed to them, either way I couldn't agree more KBALL, road trips and tunes just happen to go together, hence the reason for having a nice music box in our ride!
