Gas Cap Question
Does everyone's SC430 have a hinged internal metal cap on the gas fill port? Not the cap that you unscrew; the one that is pushed away when you insert the pump nozzle and then pops back into place when you take out the nozzle.
All of my other cars have had it, but our SC430 does not. Is this missing from our car?

Thanks for the replies. Four out of four (me included) don't have it, so I guess it was made like that.
Kind of wierd though; it seems like gas could spash out if the cap wasn't screwed back on. There must be some equivalent mechanism to the internal metal cap there that we can't see...

Read my post about sc430 gas not filling up. Can this be cause of my gas not filling up? I have to fill manually. Gas pump always stops after few gallons. I'm going to try and have dealer fix it. Others had same problem. One had gas tank replace to solve the problem.

My 2006 SC430 will not take gas either about .75cents at a time, pump keeps shutting off.
Well my Lexus dealer changed the charcoal cannister with new purge valve tested the car now it's good. Rockville Center Lexus has been great . Hopefully this won't happen to any of you so enjoy the top down with the nice weather here on Long Island. Thank GOD for extended warranty.
