Default smooshed door panels

Have any of you noticed that the on the door panel near the switches that when you rest your knee on it the material collapses? It looks smooshed in. I had the dealer order a new pair of panels. I have also looked at several other cars and it is happening in alot of them.

Its on the top edge of the armrest, where the seam is. Mostly on the drivers door. You have to run you hand horizontly over the panel to feel where is is smooshed in. See attached pic.

The service manager agreed that there is a problem with these panels, and the only way to fix it were to order new ones. I was hoping to let other owners know about this so maybe they "lexus usa" can come up with a permanent fix.

This irks me bad, it is the only thing about the car I dislike. I have looked at alot of other cars going through our service dept. and most have the same problem. The car in the photo above is in our showroom and are smooshed to just from showroom customers sitting in the car.
