Default Trying to fix door panel

Hey guys,
Just some facts before my question: The door panel is a two-piece, the door handle is bolted to the other piece(those who removed their door panel know what I mean). In the door handel, there is 2 big screws which screw into the door. These 2 plastic's are broken, so when you pull close the door, the outter piece has all the work and it was not designed for that.
The two plastic housing which bolt onto the door are broken and I have nothing to glue together or try to glue.

Does anyone have any suggestions other then buying from new dealer then have leather color match the door panel. I'll post pics if i can find my camera.

Whats a good glue which glues well with plastic? Crazy glue did not work well with me.

hey 007, I might be misunderstanding, but if you are talking about the split in the door trim, here is the link http://www.hotkey.net.au/~cheets/soa...im_problem.htm I've done this before and I haven't had any problem since then..

If it's something else, sorry

Try 'JB WELD' to mend it.

ok the bracket is shaped like an L with holes on the bottom just epoxy the washers to each side which will take the load instead of the plastic bracket or the fix that the guy in australia uses is to basically place a "L" shaped bracket in place of the plastic bracket to take the load

On one of the L shaped plastics I dont have the part which makes the bottom L shape. so basically I have a
'lower-case L lilke l'.

Does this guy in austrialia have a website with his procedure?

thanks for you help,

hey Emerald,
thanks for the info on jb weld, found it at pep boys.

Last night I mixed the 2 tubes together and welded a broken crack by the speaker cover, this morning I see that the stuff is hard looking. Looks good so far.

Just curious will this also 'hold well' metal and plastic?
My next test will be to make a metal L-shaped and glue it to plastic door panel?

thanks,

if you have to use the L shaped brackets you should probably attach the upper portion to the underside of the armrest with screws
