im looking for a BLACK engine cover for the sc430 but the ? i have been wondering now is do all sc430's come with the engine cover pictured below or are most of them dominate silver like ours? the gs's are silver on the outer surroundings of the engine cover even though they come off the same motor. so i have posted in the sc430 classifieds, the gs classifieds and the regular gs section......but now im wondering if the black engine cover is a rare cover.....or something



also trying to buy one if anyone has one holler at me

 

All the SC's I've ever looked at is the one pictured, this might be a stupid question, but why do you want black??

 

all the sc430 covers are as shown iirc. the gs430 one is the same but different color. i cant' remember exactly about the ls430 one

 

If I'm not mistaken, some, if not all Pebble Beach Edition cars have custom colored engine covers. For example, I think the 2005 Pebble Beach Edition has a red and black or red and silver engine cover. (mrblister can confirm.)

 

I have an 01 LS430 and an 05 SC430, meaning they have the same 4.3L engine and the engine cover. My LS has a silver/silver cover and my 05 has a black/silver cover. I think it may just be a difference in year color combo or difference in model. Just a guess, but better than nothing right? haha

i have a BLACK 2001 gs430 which has the same motor but my engine cover is more silver/silver/black and just thought the black/black/silver would look good on it

i know the gs430 is a different color, i have one. im looking for a black sc engine cover to match my exterior. shocked no1 has one for sale

It's red/silver (see a link to it below). The red engine cover was on the 2002 Neiman Marcus edition and the 2005 Black/red Pebble Beach edition. Both cars had the red leather interior. I'm not sure about the 2007 Pebble Beach edition. I know it also had the red interior, but I don't believe I've ever seen a picture of a red engine cover on that car. I doubt any of the SC430 members here will sell that engine cover to you.
Maybe someone will consider doing an exchange.

MSRP is around $242... it should be cheaper to repaint your existing one.

 

My 02 Neiman Marcus edition comes with the Red engine cover just like the one in the link.
