Default Question on engine cover

Can someone please tell me how the silver/gray engine cover is held in place. And also how do you remove it. I don't see any fastners so I was wondering if they are just snapped on. Thanks

Yes, it just snaps on and off using posts underneath. Just pull up on the sides.

Does anyone know if the other Lexus sedans have a similar cover?

It looks like it's strictly cosmetic and doesn't appear to offer any benefits like sound deadening etc. Correct?

Default Engine Cover

I just learned the other day that if you press down on the center of the snaps that hold the engine cover they pull off very easily.

There are no snaps on the silver engine cover of the ES350. I assume the snaps you are talking about are on the black surround panels.
