Default "set" button

If I accidently touch the "set" button next to the steering wheel volume controls, while the radio is on, the volume blasts to an extremely ear piercing level. Any one else having this issue? It's like a reverse mute button. Try it and let me know if it happens to you.

Hey Sev,

What you can do is adjust the volume to a point where you want it to reset when you push this button, now when you find this “ideal volume” hold the set button until you hear a beep and when it beeps it means that is your new default preset for the volume.

I remember mine was the same when new. I swear those guys at the factory set the volume on "11" for laughs.

same ear splitting blast on my new/used 2004 SC.
I haven't revisited it since the first try.
it's hard to believe it was set at the factory.

I set mine to a very low volume so that when I get a phone call. I just hit the "set" button to drop the volume of the radio/CD/XM.
