The "set" button on GS430 steering wheel?

The "set" button on GS430 steering wheel?

What does it do? I looked thru the manual and couldn't find anything about it. I once pressed it by accident and the radio volume went to MAX and scare the hell out of me...can someone shed some light on this? Thanks!

yup, thats for preset volume. i use it for mute as well. set it to low volume like 4 or 5, and when my cell pone rings i just press it and it goes all the way down

I use mine as an eject button.

I set it to the max volume. Car jackers vomit instantly.

I have accidently hit the set button a few times and mine was set on max volume. I thought the speakers were going to blow out. I am glad to know that it can be used as a mute button.
