2 weeks and already a hit!
I just bought my 03 2 weeks ago, I let my friend drive (cuz I was drinking) we went to eat somewere late night and my friend parks in a unmarked spot to avoid other parked cars, well this other guy I know backs into my door! he thought he hit the curb he said so he backed up again!!! hitting it twice. (he was sober) dumbass, his insurance is going to cover it. estimate is $1643.00
now im going to be without my SC for a week or more, Im having the shop put a brand new door, and all
ill post pics when I get a chance

Make sure it didn't threw any sensors on your convertible top out of alignment. That's my main worry about wrecking this car; hope it never happens. If it was just the front door, I assume you're safe, but check it anyway.

My sympathies - I did $8k of damage around day 28 of getting my car (never owned a car for more than 30 days w/o being in an accident) - having the car in the shop is a real drag, hopefully you're back on the road again soon.

Sorry to hear about that hit and your idiot "aquaintance". I'm glad it wasn't worse. If it means anything I had my first accident (sideswiped by idiot mini-van driver) in my first 2 weeks of ownership.

I feel your pain!
After having a spotless SC for 4 years, I parked in a secure lot to commute to work. On Good Friday, I came back to the results of the person next to me cutting the wheel too much and scraping the crap outta my passenger side rear bumper! After descriptively listing this person's family tree, I sucked up my tears and drove home. My estimate's for $882.......

I feel your pain didn't have mine for a week
I had someone hit my car at a red light ( he was in the turn lane and decided to back up duh?) and I didn't even have my car for a week! Needless to say he was drunk and realized that he hit me and he hauled butt and ran. Never caught him. The damage to my car is about four thousand. I am not a happy camper.
I hope you get your car back soon. I miss my car and I didn't even have it a week! The weather has been perfect for the top down and I am missing beautiful sunny days.

I got a partial plate and have been going crazy looking for a way to find the owner by that information alone. Law enforcement was of no help. They didn't want to take the time to go through the database. So I am just stuck at this point. GRRRR

Thats sucks! I was in a hit-and-tried-to-run, but my old 400 caught up to his gt mustang. I finally cut him off and got the drunkie out of the car. After slurring his words for about 5 minutes pleading not to call the cops, he took off ON FOOT down the highway and left his ride there. It wasn't hard for the cops to find the engineer at IBM the next day with no car!
Anyways, the damage was $4000, but my insurance fronted the money and the lawsuit is still pending, i hope you find that bastard who hit you.
