Door Dings
Hey do you guys find that the SC attract a lot of people to ding your doors? Nothing bad, but ... still small little dings, ****ING PISSES ME OFF!!! Anyone know an easy way to get rid of these dings, or should I just send it one day to the body shop. Sooo irritating, just got another one! What do you do when your car is sitting very close to another persons and you seen a tiny ding? Just get pissed and drive off, or vandalize their car, leave a note, contact them?
Well...I was at the Improt Revolution show at Chicago last saturday. After enjoying the show I started driving back to Michigan...where I'm from. Well..guess what. I felt the car vibrating pretty bad when I got on Lake Shore drive. I went on to an exit ramp and checked my tires. One of them had a huge-a$$ed nail on it.
Had to sleep over at my friend's place and have the tire repaired the next morning.

It's alot worse for our cars because we dont have that strip that goes along the door to prevent dents from other car doors.
Those dings are like gray hair...you see one and you stress about it

When I bought the car the guy actually had strips put on both sides of the car to prevent that....but the strips were cracking and were blue underneath so I took them off.
I still have about 6 to 7 door dings on my car and I also want to get rid of them. How much you think those paintless dent removal places run?
Its too bad....on the BMW board I visit they had a meet in Chicago like 2 months ago and had those dent removal people at the meet removing dings for like $20 each.

Wow after reading this I feel pretty good. I used to have 2 tiny little dings but that got fixed and those 2 where there when I bought the car. I've NEVER had a door ding since I had my SC. I wonder why that is....hmm. Anyways those things are a pain in the a$$. People should really watch when they open car doors because I see too many people just bust those things open like theres no tomorrow. I usually park my car as far away from civilization where ever I go though. Thats after the car was repainted.
Before I moved to TN I had a girl go ape **** on my car. She was drunk, took her belt off and b!tch slapped the top of my car, right behind the sunroof. Turns out she nailed it with the buckle portion and it created a dent similiar to a golf divot. I ended up giving chase to the girl into the woods behind my townhouse and ended up tackling her ala "the waterboy". Ended up getting a police report and now she owes $500 in restitution

$60-100 per panel...is that the same whether there is 1 ding or 10 dings?
Thats a really good price...someone had once said it was like $75 a ding...and that didnt sound real cheap.
Almost impossible to not park near cars at school....oh well, if they ding my car, I will provide justice on the spot to theirs lol.
If they ding my car Ill ding theres....if they park too close where they conceivably could have dinged the car but did not, Ill still spit on their car I admit lol.
