Some ***** gave me a huge door ding the other day when my car was parked at the football game. It really pissed me off. I wasnt really angry at the fact that i got a dent in my car, I was pissed off because the person who did it didn't have the cahones to fess up and write a little note saying "sorry, here's my number, ill pay for it"!!! And it turned out worse than i thought too...I went to a guy to see if he could jsut pop it out and its large enough that i have to have the whole door redone...its gonna cost me $500! I would have been well on my way to future mods, and now im behind schedule because of some *** who could own up to his or her own mistakes...

i agree... unfortunatly, its rare...
although one day my dad (hes alot like me) caught a guy opening his door into my dad's porsche. i know we're all protective of our cars, so you could feel my dads anger. he said "hey man! you just opend your door into my car!" and the guy nonchalently replied "so?". he walked away. so my dad goes and braces himself inbetween this guy's car and his porsche, lines up, and takes a big old kick at the guy's side view mirror and knocks it clean off, and sent it flying into the air! ha! he claims he only did it because the guy did not say sorry offer to fix it...

 

Hey, I must confess I did it... Just don't kick my mirror off!!!

 

hell I wish I could have a video cam in my car and 110,000 volts running thru my car body so if anyone touches it BAm they aer screwed.!!!!!!!

DOOR DINGS ARE THE WORST!!!!

 

What sucks is HOW DUMB people are...some people don't realize how much it costs to fix door dings...it may be "minor" damage but it takes some work to get them fixed....

BCC002 - Congrats to you Dad! I would have knocked off more than his sideview mirror...those are easy to replace and don't require body work...if someone dinged my Porsche and then walked away, I would have fvcked up every single panel on their car by kicking them in...quarter panels, trunk, hood, front fenders...maybe even puncture all four tires on the sidewalls...

At the place I used to live before, my neighboor dinged my car and then DENIED it (who else parks in their spot? Plus their door had a nice CHIP of my paint on it)...the next day, they had to get a new paint job on their hood...(I added some "interesting graphics" to it with aircraft paint remover)...after that, they parked as close to the other side as possible (sometimes I wondered how they got out of the car?) Never said a word to me...

I got a HUGE door ding at Fry's. I mean, someone literally swung their door open cuz the paint chipped where the ding is at on the door.

also, it quite deep, not just a "oh, you relaly have to see it at an angle"

at any angel, you can see this ding.

Hey angels are looking at your car - cool. I had too cops looking at mine yesterday. I nearly hit this guy coming the wrong way out of a one way street and blew my horn at him. The cops were right there. Did they stop him? Noooo - they just oggled my car.

BTW Did you hear about the guy in the UK got stopped by the cops and told to replace his rear lights? They said they were illegal and would dazzle other drivers - and they were just the factory fit ones. Doh!

 

I've never gone quite as far as kicking someone's side mirror off. I did key a guys car for dinging my car though. I should have done a deeper key job though. Anyway the guy has a POS and that is what happens when you have a ton of people out there that don't give a sh*t about their cars, or about anyone else's.

 

Check out the pic to see what happened to my IS. My own employee hit it and left...luckily, I caught her...my car was actually parked under one of our security cameras but I got just the right front bumper on tape and saw that she hit my car as she was leaving work....she claimed she didn't know she hit it!!!! HOW can you not know...especially with that much damage!!! Well, its been 3 weeks now...I get my car back on Monday...FINALLY!!!
