thanks. its not about paying someone. the vehicle is in the body shop and i cant get it out. and with time constraints, and the wheels taking a month to build, i need to get them done in time for the vehicle to be done. i cant wait a month to get it out of the shop. measure. then wait another month for wheels cause this kit isnt going to look ok with the stock wheels.
but yes, you are right. im not trying to be lazy

Default Help!!

Hey guys,

Read the link on page 1, and i'm none the wiser!!

Been looking at a set of 20" wheels, i'm unsure of the width, (waiting for confirmation either 8.5 or 9J, the offset is 35mm, how does this sound to you guys?? If I'm reading the link right, it's too aggressive????

Given the same width 8.5", +35 is much more conservative than +18.

8.5" +35 should fit like adding 16mm spacers in your stock wheels.

The setup in rominl's wheel fitment guide is more like adding 33mm spacers in the front and 46mm spacers in the rear.

Default MY 20" Wheel & Tire Setup on 2002 SC430

Hello All;

I have the following rather consevertive setup on my '02 S3430, but I still get a lot of comments on how well the wheels compliment the car (not the bling-bling look):

Front Wheels: Size 20" x 8.5" , Lip Size 2 1/4" , Bolt Pattern 5 x 114.3 , Offset 40

Rear Wheels: Size 20" x 10" , Lip Size 4" , Bolt Pattern 5 x 114.3 , Offset 45

Front Tires: Toyo Proxes T1R 245/35 ZR20 95Y

Rear Tires: Toyo Proxes T1R 275/30 ZR20 97Y

(I should have used the 285/30 in the rear since my car is stock height)

Note: I'll post pixs when I figure out how to do so. Have a SUPER day!

hey im a newb when it comes to wheels,
i'm looking for upgrading my sc430 stock pie plates....as far as now I know the wheels should be 18x8 and Bolt pattern 5 x 114.3...and I looked up the OE wheels have 50 offset...the offset is my issue, should I am to get wheels with that same setup and a similar/or same offset if I want them to be installed well? if someone can explain the importance of offset #'s when it comes to wheels i'd appreciate it...last thing i would want is to get some wheels and have to resell them.
thanks CL

I am about to pick up a set of wheels for the SC430 and the size are 20x9+30 front 20x10.5+29 rear.

Do have to do any modification on fenders? I will be on bags

i have 20x10.5 with a +29 offset
and im making the lip bigger by going
20x12..will this fit our sc with fender rolling,
streched tires.etc etc...what do i need to do to make this happen and what offset do i need?.please keep in mind i am going for max lip here so whats the best offset i can do.
thank you in advance..

Hey Romini, looks like you are the expert. Can you please give me you thoughts on the following for a 2002 SC430.

Front - 18/8 +38 mounted with 215/35/18 Bridgestone's
Rear - 19/10 +38 mounted with 275/30/19 Bridgestone's

Thanks in advance.

Assuming you have no typos, 245/40/18(front) and rear 275(or 285)/30/19(rear) are more in line.
The offsets are overall on the weak side especially the front setup.
The total effect is like adding 7mm spacers in the front and 32mm spacers in the rear.
