Hi, checking size fitment for a friend's '03 sc430. Would 19x8.5 +25 (front) and 19x9.5 +20 (rear) wheels fit properly, without sticking out past the fenders? If so, what would be a good size tire to go with on those? Car is stock height, with no current plans to lower. While I'm asking, would a 19x8.5 +15 work up front, or is that too much?

Going off the chart it looks like they'll work but I wanted to double-check. So, mainly wanting to be sure that they aren't gonna be popping out further than the fenders, since it'll be stock height and won't have that extra negative camber to negate any wheel protrusion.

I appreciate any help on this from the people that know. Thanks.

Not sure if you were going by this threads first post and the .pdf attached that shows fitment. Scroll down on .pdf to SC’s numbers

Yeah, I was going by that .pdf, as well as the chart made by 'talwang'. There were just a couple differences between the two and since the wheel sizes I'm asking about are on the edge of what will supposedly work I just wanted to try to get confirmation or not. Mainly because a lot of the cars I've seen have been lowered and thereby have that extra negative camber to help push the upper lip back into the fender, so, since this car will be at stock height I just wanted to double-check, because I obviously don't want there to be any of the wheel/tire sticking past the fenders at all.

You should be ok with that fitment, the factory wheels sit so far inside rubbing from the wheel/tire size wont be an issue. The problem you may run into is if the shocks are worn, you may experience some rubbing from the car bottoming out, because shocks need replacing... if this makes sense

Yeah, I got ya. The car just had all new shocks installed a few months ago so hopefully that shouldn't be an issue. What would you think on tire sizes? I see a lot of 245/35 (front) and 275/30 (rear,) but after using a couple different tire calculators it's showing that a 245/40 (front) and 275/35 (rear) would be much closer to the stock circumference, so now I'm second guessing that as well.

*Edit - Nevermind. I was mistakingly entering 245/45 as the original tire size, which was obviously throwing off the calculations. haha

To the people using different Lexus wheels from other models. Are you using the same lugnuts?

Thanks. I'm gonna swap wheels from my GS to the SC for a day to see how it rides. Don't want to buy new set of lugs unless I have to.

Default 19" and 18" wheel options

considering a staggered set up with OEM suspension. I will not modify OEM suspension.
Will any of these options fit SC430?

#1
Wheels: 19x8.5 and 19x9.5 with both +35 offsets
Tires: 245/35R19 front and 275/30R19 rear

#2
Wheels: 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 with +35 and +30 offset respectively
Tires: 245/40R18 front and 275/35R18 rear

Thank you

Yes, ALL looks good to me.

There are posts throughout this thread that might have exact same numbers as you have.

I’m assuming bore size is 60.1mm — you don’t want to have to deal with hub rings but if you do, get quality metal ones as the plastic ones will end up vibrating at certain speeds.

Maybe you’ve already seen this .pdf on first post of this thread that’s also useful — scroll down to SC430 Wheels Fitment — it will have info on 19” wheels

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/att...ls-fitment.doc

Good luck with your wheel / tire fitment and be sure to post pics of how they look and the stance of your SC.

It will give more recent info on wheel fitment to owners just joining CL or wanting to update their OEM stock wheels / tires.

* EDIT: Forgot to ask if you plan to put spacers to make wheels/ tires more flush with body?

Default 1 more option, rear wheel

I searched, but was not satisfied with the answers, and these wheels are on the expensive side. Need someone with experience and knowledge. Thank you.
With OEM suspension, will this rear wheel and tire fit without rubbing?

19x10.5 offset 43
285/30R19

Thank you

I'm thinking the offset of 43 might be a little too aggressive and could possibly rub -- according to the attached .pdf from this thread below -- scroll down to the "SC" section in the .pdf

That .pdf is really helpful, thanks for digging it back up. I consulted it numerous times before making my final choice a few months ago.

I’ve posted this link before, but here it is again. It helps you see the impacts of changes and provides measurements you can use. Hopefully it will help you zero in on the best setup for you.

https://tiresize.com/wheel-offset-calculator/

Both resources helped me make my final choice. I went with 19x9.5 with 35 offset all around (so I can rotate). Tires 255/35/19.

I did end up adding 20mm spacers to rear so it looks aggressive but doesn’t rub.

Note: I also upgraded to coilovers, so ride height was dropped slightly. I kept them adjusted to the OOB ‘middle’ ride setting and so far have no reason to change.

Wishing you success and be sure to update us with your decision. (Pictures are always appreciated too.)

Cheers!

Default +25 to +30 rear

OEM suspension and clearances.
I ordered 285/30R19 for rear tires. Front is 245/35R19 (close to stock dimension). Off set on rear wheel is safe at +25 to +30 (use spacer to get to there).
I'm going with MRR FS01 silver flow formed wheels 19x8.5 +35 front and 19x10 +30 rear from audiocityusa.com. They do custom wheel offset.
I will update.
