Power top trouble
The chime means your car thinks the roof isn't all the way closed. That is also why your trunk release button doesn't work.
Try pushing the TOP Close button and see if it will go just a little more.
If not, you will have to manually open it.
My guess is that you have something blocking one of the holes where the roof pins go in.

First, thank you to all who responded. Kept me motivated.
Went out to work on the top again, but decided to wash her first. I live in an area with LOTS of pollen and anything else that falls from trees. Still had solid red on the switch.
As I washed, I cleaned the drain channels along the trunk. Closed trunk and light went out. Hit the open button and wI does moved but stopped, and trunk release started working. I cleaned the channels very well and wha-laaa….top now operates flawlessly again!!

I am afraid it may be short lived though; After a problem things tend to clear up and then go bad again.
