Distributor timing issue
Hello I have a 92 Lexus SC300.
Timing is off in the distributor. I put the crank in TDC line up with the cams. Remove distributor, line up orange mark to the notch.
Timing is a bit off (I use timing gun). I can’t get it right, I’m supposed to set it at 0 degrees correct?
Also I have an after market crank pulley that has two markings on them for timing, everything lines up with the left marking. Can I get confirmation that this is correct? I did change the timing belt.
Would really appreciate help.
Thanks in Advance!

One thing. Since the distributor gear is helical, once it hits the exhaust cam, it will turn a little. So you have to rotate the distributor a bit in the other direction so that when you put it into the head, it will line up correctly. I hope that makes sense.
I will do this when I get home from work. This is frustrating I just can’t seem to get it right. Someone mention that you line up the notch, then back it up one tooth. That this helps with alignment. I’ll try this and post the results.
I also didn’t jump these connectors. Is it necessary?

Also, what’s with the two marks on crank pulley? They’re about 4 inches apart. Everything lines up with the mark on the left(cams and crank), is this correct? Or should everything line up with the mark on the right of the crank pulley?
Okay so, am I supposed to set it at 10 degrees or 0 degrees? It runs like crap at 0 degrees runs better at 10. Just want to make sure I did this correctly.
Also I can only adjust it up to 0 or before (20 degrees) I cant pass the 0 degree mark. Can I get confirmation that this is correct?

Dude factory is 10 +/- 2 degrees advanced so set it there and forget about it. Only set it lower if you’re going to boost it. As a rule of thumb, the higher advanced timing the more power your car makes unless in a positive pressure situation.
