Fuel Filter
Forgive the ignorance -
Where exactly is the fuel filter? I was just going to replace the old one, and I haven't been able to locate it. I didn't see it (except for a random picture) in the shop manual either.

If you do this on your own, make sure you have good tools. I would difinitely recommend a line wrench for this job. It's like an open end wrench, but has one more side which allows for better grip. Things get a little rusty and stuck down their sometimes and it can be a PITA to get off.
This is speaking from experience. You don't want to have to replace the whole fuel line going to the engine b/c of a stripped nut.

I tried to do the fuel filter on my own but it would not budge. I gave it a shot of WD-40 and let that sit overnight but still would not move. I gave up and started the car to run an errand. For some reason I got out of the car, looked down and saw fuel dripping on to the pavement at a pretty good rate. So I ran it over to my local mechanic who proceed to charge $70 for the hour it took him to install my replacement. He admitted to buggering the nuts a bit and thought the dealer may have changed it at some point and buggered it as well. This should have been a relatively easy job!
