Planned to change the fuel filter myself since it seemed like it never was changed but didn't want to risk breaking the line so i took it to a shop and they couldn't replace it themselves as well...
Does anyone know any technique in removing a pretty old and beat up fuel filter or i have no choice but to break it and replace the entire fuel line?

 

Spray pb blaster and let it sit for 15 minutes and repeat. Then use flare nut wrenches. Make sure you unscrew the fuel filler cap. And it's best to do this with low fuel.

 

cut it use, rubber fuel hoses and clamps. if the flare wrench dont work, use a pipe wrench

 

Thanks, guess going to autozone to get myself some pb blaster, currently on low right now but sucks i only have the SC to drive around. Guess I'm just going to be patient and daily soak it with pb blaster till it loosens eventually

 

get a pipe wrench, it will loosen that nut.

 

Just purchased a flare wrench but haven't tried yet, if the flare wrench does fail going to try the pipe wrench.

 

Tried the flare wrench and looks like it can't grip at all.... guess i will have to find myself a pipe wrench now... will continue tomorrow or the weekend but going to spray PB blaster on it daily see if it will loosen up till then.

 

Mission successful!!!! The pipe wrench pretty much did the job!
