I had the battery out of the car while it was parked all winter and I went to get it running today but it acts like it's not getting spark. It's definitely getting fuel (it smells ripe after just 15 cranks). It turns over great but isn't even attempting to fire.
The car is a 94 SC300 NA-T, 255 walbro, AEM V1 w/ oem disty and ignition setup. I pulled the coil wire off the disty cap and laid it on something metal to see if it was making a spark but nothing. So I'm wondering if the oem alarm system, AEM or factory ECU have some kind of ignition safety switch and it was triggered by having the battery out so long?? I'm stumped so any help would be mucho appreciated!
Not sure if this helps but my battery drained for leaving my doors opened so I had to charge it. After charging it, my car would not crank at all; inside/outside lights came on, radio came on as well as antenna went up but still would not crank. So, I thought maybe safety option on the alarm system. I just locked and unlocked the car, tried it again and it fired right up. No other issues.
