1995 SC 400 AC Not working
Hello Experts out there,
I have been having strange problem. I diagnosed to my knowledge with a car mechanic.
Issue: AC not working
What did we diagnose ?
AC Compressor, Clutch good.
AC full of Freon good pressure
We traced that the ACMG (ground signal) from the ECM is not getting activated. Thus not providing the relay in the fuse box the appropriate signal to engage the clutch.
If I manually groud it, AC works perfectly.
Opened the ECM and checked for leaky capacitors or smell- Everything looks clean.
Before I send the ecm for rebuild, I would like to know if ECM is the problem. How does ACMG pin get activated ? Any ideas or diagrams on this would help. I would to keep the car, truly great car, drives excellent expect for AC.
Any help from the experts would help.

I believe the HVAC unit in the center console is the computer for that, not the general ECU (aka ECM). I'm not aware of any leaky capacitor issues on those, but I did try one from a different year once and some of the functions didn't work, so it's worth double checking that your part # matches your model year. It could also just be a defective unit. Or a break in the wiring somewhere.
