My 1994 gs300 ac been giving me intermittent problems. The compressor clutch keeps kicking on and off rapidly intermittently. I can feel it jerking when I drive. The compressor has been replaced and recharged to correct specs. But the problem still exist. Becuase it's intermittent I am unable to dg what is wrong. Has anyone ran into a problem like this? Ecu has been checked by a company that rebuilds them. Nothing wrong with ac circuit. So I was told. Any suggestion? High press switch going bad? Ac amplifier? Ac control unit? Thanks!
Forgot to add, the ac starts to blow warm sometimes when ac clicking on and off. Sometimes it will click back on and stay on. Other times it won't till I shut it off then turn it on later.
I put gauges on it and pressures normal. When I changed the compressor and drier I evacuated the system and it held 30" for 30-40 mins. Then filled in freon. So no leaks.
Check your relays. I have to change my condesor/rad fan relay today. My AC is blowing hot/cold. You may have a compressor relay or fan relay going out.
2gsc300-Ok. Will try replacing relays. But I swapped the ac magnetic clutch relay with the ign one since its the same part number. No difference.
Slammd_gs3- I used to have a blinking ac light when the ac would shut off. Now it shuts on/off but ac light stays on. I wonder if it is the ac control unit going bad. Did that fix your problem?
Thanks for all your input. It is greatly appreciated!!
I have the same problem, I kept melting the magnetic clutch. Happened 3 times. I found out that the high side gets to high. Our compressors shut off at 450 psi, I'm gonna replace my condenser fan with a stronger one. That should take care of it..
