window doesnt work...HELP!!

Default window doesnt work...HELP!!

my window was working perfectly fine yesterday and now i put it down and it wont go up....i can hear the window motor working but i cant figure out where the damn thing is...anyone else have this problem with there SC?

Yes, that happened to me. The glass shop I took it to said it was the "regulator," and it cost about $65 to fix it. One piece of advice: if you need to cover the window with plastic, be careful of the kind of tape that comes in contact with the black door pillar. I used electrical tape because that was all I had on hand, and it pulled the paint right off.

check the ground wire on the master switch the one that has the door locks and window controls. when i got my car my windows didn't work either and spent about 2 weeks going through everything twice and it turn out to be the ground wire. it would be a free and easy fix.

i can hear the window motor working
thats mechanical failure, not a ground wire.

yea i got the window to go up by pushing it up and now i put a peice of wood inside the door to keep the window up...ill probly get it fixed when i go home, cant trust any of the mechanics out here at school...another thing that might help to figure out what broke is that it made a big banging noise right before it went down....does anyone know how i can look at the motor and the mechanical parts in it?...ive taken off the inner-panel already and the motor is covered by a sheet metal.

I can also hear the motor working and by redoing the ground wire it fixed it. just telling what happen to me. the fixed was free, just trying to help.

i looked at the window mechanism and its the thing that connects the window to the guide rail and metal line....does anyone know what this is called?...do you know how i can get it off?, there are not bolts.
