Default Attempt to Fix Window

Hey everyone, long time no see again. I came home from college to find my SC (now driven by my mom) with tape over the top of the window for about 3inches to the top of the window. She says that the window motor makes noise but the window seems "jammed" it won't go up or down and stopped about 3 inches from closing. So today I try to take apart the door and get back there to see what the deal is, hopefully finding something jammed up or what not. What I found was 3 pieces of what I think is the regulator fell out from behind the door metal. A spring, a yellowish insert that goes into the spring, and a small section of black wire that goes into the back of that yellowish piece. Does this mean that I need a new regulator if these pieces fell from it? They don't appear to be "severed", just separated. Also, I was able to really push hard and get the window to close solidly. Can anyone chime in on what I should do now?

Pics of the pieces you found would be helpful, but it sounds like bits of the regulator. You might need a new one.

The spring keeps the yellow piece straight to guide the metal wire in.

You need a new regulator...once it's popped out and jammed like that the metal wire gets kinked, etc and it's VERY hard to fix.
