need lsd diff installed

Anyone know how to install lsd diff for 98 sc400 in the tri state area pm me.

you can do it yourself if you have one. it's really simple. 2 big bolts on the ears, 3 in the back in the subframe, and then a bunch on the driveshaft and halfshafts

I was able to take of the pumpkin but to mess with gears and install the diff you got to have skills, i dont have those yet. So anyone know of a shop in the PA, NJ, NY area that can do it let me know.

still need my supra tt auto trans trd lsd installed, come on people someone has to know someone in the tri state or a shop that can do this. Help please.

please do not make more threads. you can post in the regional forum for help or just look up shops and call them. its just a differential.

Yeah, but I do feel for the OP because this does question does come up from time to time and alot of shops don't know how to setup the toyota diff's specifically or just won't do it, and that probably means its not that easy to explain over the internet. In colorado we would just go to a 4x4 shop because the toyota trucks use essentially the same type of diff's (not the exact same though) and those places are more familiar with setting them up properly. once its on the bench they do not care what vehicle it came from generally speaking, so I would try some 4x4 shops if there are some in your area they are more used to working on diff's. I have also read write-ups on the toyota 4x4 forums on setting them up properly, so you could head over there to get some more info on it but I its not the most straight forward thing to do even though it seems simple.

I haven't seen a writeup or DIY for our diff's specifically which would actually be a good one to make if someone wants or knows how to.

I understood what you are talking about. you need the tt auto lsd installed into your pumpkin. find a 4x4 shop. regular shops do not work on or rebuild differentials.

my regional shows no love, and many shops around pa say they are not able to do it because it requires special tools. By the way what is a 4x4 shop?

He means 4x4 like guys who specialize in lift kits, wenches, off roading, big mud tires etc etc.. They tend to build differentials for different gearing to help climb steep rocks or have a ton of low end torque. If they wont do it they will definitely know who will. Anyone that regularly off roads has broken the drive line some way or another..
