The one on my car is protruding as it rounds the ends on the driver and passenger side. I'm thinking it would be a fairly easy fix to get under there and loosen the bolts/nuts holding this piece in place and repositioning the lip. Having someone hold it in position while tightening the fasteners back down.

Maybe we are thinking of two different problems. Are you referring to a warped or physically deformed lip? Mine is merely out of position I think. Pictures will help but it is too late for me to make any now. Maybe tomorrow. I would strongly suggest not using a heat gun - but if you want to try it - more power to you. If it is warped you will probably have to bite it and find a new one or a used one to replace it. If you really want it to look right.

Hey if you do attempt to work on the lip, please post some how to pics if you can. It will help the board a lot. Although I most likely wouldn't fix it myself, mine has a small crack and is slightly deformed like yours is.

Mine is warped. Is it true that if you replace the lip you have to replace the underengine protection plastic piece as well?

I tried hot water, didn't do much for the long term. Perhaps someone's willing to try a heat gun?

I don't see why. But it is possible. I will follow up.

I have tried the heat gun method - depending on how warped your lip is, it should do the trick. Once that plastic gets hot, it is very workable. Just be careful not to over-do it ....

I just removed my front lip.. It doesn't look like you would have to replace the under engine plastic if you got a new lip.. It just screws onto the lip..
