Default Oem black interior question

I've never sat in an oem black interior. Are the headliners black in those cars? Does a black dome light / sunroof control panel exist? I'm going to suede my headliner at some point and rather than paint mine and lose the lettering I'd rather get an oem one if it exists. My car is Black and Tan and the headliner is tan which is dumb to me.

Thanks

The headliner is not usually black although I have seen one. The same with the sunroof controls, all usually dark grey but again I have seen a black one...

Hope that helps

DO NOT ruin the factory two tone interior!!!

You have one of the rarest factory interior color combo available! In addition to your RSP paint, OEM Blk/Tan two tone and and the combination of both is a most sought after package for our beloved SC! (A quick search will reveal how rare it is on this forum.)

If if it's a manual, it would truly be a collector's car. Of course, it is your SC so you can do anything you want to it. But it would certainly decrease the value of the car.

The oem black interior headliner and dome light/sunroof switch panels are a light to med grey. Sun visors are also grey.

Sorry to disappoint but I hate the two tone. I've already swapped out the seats to black. Found a set of OEM skins a couple years ago and swapped them. Threw some heated seat massagers in while I was at it too. Sourcing black components to finish the conversion now. Only thing rarer than RSP blk/tan was RSP blk/blk. LOL None of the RSPs were manual from what I understand. What I've found is this car is only worth anything to us. Nobody else cares so I don't feel like I'm hacking up anything that'll be worth 100k in 20 years.

Thanks for the info on the roof. I'll have to figure out something then. I'm going black suede up there and want black components. I'll probably dye / paint the plastics on the roof and then make some stencils and paint the labels back on in white. Or if I can pull it off, use a label maker with clear labels and white text then xacto knife it all out and clear coat over it. I think all that I have to address is the sunroof controls and dome light so only have to figure out how to paint DOOR ON OFF TILT and a couple triangles/arrows.

I'll get some pics going in my build thread once I get started on doing actual work rather than planning. Just started blacking out the headliner in my truck and need to wrap that project up before I start here.

thanks again for the info!

I have black interior, the liner is gray and so are the pieces for the dome light (not the dome light lens though, that's clear).

Ah I see. Thank you so much! I ordered some water slide decal paper to experiment with. I may have a workable solution between that and SEM paint to get that actually black and retain the wording. If it works, I'll do my best to document the project next week once it gets here.
