Default Upper Rear window brake light?

Okay guys, i have searched for some threads but came up blank, I've seen this on the Bentley Continental,Audi A7 and some other cars, but i believe this would be perfect for the SC due to the sloping rear window. Has anyone done this to their car?

this is a neat idea. would probably look great on a sc with a roof spoiler like calitrisc's and wingless trunk.

I have actually been contemplating this for a while, because since I went wingless I have no 3rd brake light. Idk how much attention cops pay to having a 3rd brake light, but I'd rather be safe then sorry.

I was thinking maybe, it could be connected to the tail light wiring harness and run a strip of leds's there. I really want to try it so im going to ask some shops around my area.

Just tape a cheap 12v led strip off of ebay to the top of the rear window as a quick test to find out how it would look...Or some Photoshop!

Interesting, I'd look into the placing, and sort of play around with it and see what you like best? I remember "Jose" "cleansc" did something similar a while back, only he modified his to the sunroof? He's in FL as well, and he may be able to help you out with your mod? GL and keep us posted...

Thread resurrectioonnnnnn!!
Ever since i first saw this thread I wanted to try this badly but didn't know where to start besides getting leds and crudely pasting them somewhere near the rear window and every time I saw a car with this or similar to this It brought back those feelings lol Well I am in the final process of doing this and it was kind of easy, here are some test fits, Nothing is really supporting the leds besides a big stick that's in the middle somewhere that's why it has a uneven/lopsided effect in some pics. Btw that's not a burnt out led, its tape lol sorry if the pictures are too large. Just noticed one tail light is out :/

it would look better if it was 1 long led light.
but it doesn't look that bad. seems like you would need led taillights to pull of the look though

My spolier brake light died so I put a new strip all the way across my Sunroof! Only shows when the roof is open and only when the brakes are applied! I gave it enough slack and tucked it so it can open and close both up-down and in-out (if you understand what I mean by that

Ill take pics tonight if anyone is interested.

It is a single strip (kinda) and can be connected into a bar like object or be folded into 4 equal lengths for cutting/adjustments. I am using these mainly for visibility because my tail lights are way too dark. Here is a picture of what they look like folded.

Definitely wanting some pics of this, lilSCsteve mentioned another member (cleansc) doing this and I need to see how this could work smoothly.
