Sell it and get a an aristo ecu with safc or whatever piggyback your tuner feels comfortable with.

Buy an aem v1 or v2.

That's what I would do if I were you.

I talked to my tuner about the AEM and he said they run into problems when the rav4 distributor cap is used. Have you or anyone else heard of something like this?

Lol you need to get a new tuner.

There is another member on here that lives in your area.

I'll put you in contact with him, his tuner did a great job on his car.

the tt ecu needs the stock map sensor and iat. you do not need a very expensive piggyback unit to do the job if 2 sensors you can just get. your tuner means the 4runner distributor cap, and something doesn't sound right talk I would get another opinion if you want to go aem.

I thought that sounded pretty silly. I would appreciate that very much.

I did mean 4runner. I was leaning toward AEM for ease of install and timing control for the cams. I still am not sure which route I want to take yet, looks like I have some research to do.

Is there an OBD 1 JDM ECU that still utilizes a distributor, or are they all COP?

all the gte ecu's are coil on plug. There is a theory on how to hook it up to the distributor which could work but I am not sure it has not been tested, so far everyone has been going with coilpacks, they just work better for a turbo car.

Was my own fault. Base timing was off. Distributor was fully advanced. got it figured out months ago, I was too busy enjoying the boost to come back and update.

Thanks for the help everyone.
