Default startup hiccups sometimes

i own a 93 sc400, every other day or so ill start it up and it would hiccup as if it isnt really getting any fuel. I am thinking it may be my spark plugs and/or fuel pump. I traded my LS for this and i don't really know whats been done to the car yet. better described when i try and start it it will slowly crank until it seems to get some fuel in it.
edit: there hasnt been one time where i have had to re crank it. it started up every time.

hmmm 12v directly to the fuel pump thus spitting more fuel in the motor at all times. makes sense. I might try that . what rpm were you idling at? and what rpm are the sc's supposed to be idling at?

In drive, probably 700-800 rpm would be reasonable. Idling in park will be not much higher...

Yea thats around where i idle at in park closer to 1k -900

Before the mod my car would almost be turning off at times and idling at around 400-300 and dying at times but this fixed all these problems also cleaned the MAF and the body throttle and fuel pump...

These were all rather easy to do on my own and inexpensive as heck

if i recall correctly my car idles at 900, just under 1k, never drops before that. I also just topped off my Power steering fluid since it went dry due to a PS leak and saw that the fluid turned brown as soon as i poured it all in. The car for sure needs a power steering flush so i will be doing that at 153k when i change my oil, and brakes. I want to bleed my brakes as well because when i get in the car sometimes it feels like someones been stepping on the brakes when the car was off so its stiff and locked.

Ps. lucas stop leak power steering fluid is some great stuff.

haha yeah, stopped the whining in my steering and steering feels soft too a bit too soft, i still need to do a complete flush since topped off i can see it is all brown, haha. I havent really seen an leaks on the ground but i know the PS was leaking when i got the car, ill try and pressure wash the area and see if its still leaking in my car.

I am stupid and deserve a facepalm. Ok so i pretty much figured out that my car hiccup problem has something to do with my fuel pump. Well pretty much ever since i got my car i have always been running my car all the way down to Empty. My stupid self totally forgot about all the dirt and junk that gets stuck at the bottom of the gas tank. so ill be replacing my fuel pump in the near future but from this day forward ill be filling up at 1/4 tank. good thing i have only filled up at chevron and always ran 91 or higher.
