Default Sc300 question

I recently bought a 95 sc300 for about 1400 dollars. It was in rough shape with 213k miles. The head gasket was blown it needed a new fan, new breaks, tires etc. I brought it to a friends shop and he completely fixed it up. Its also a manual transmission which i heard was rare. The engine now is in pristine condition running great with a brand new exhaust. The only thing left to do is the body work. I am already 4k into this project and going to spend another thousand on paint and body. After the car is completely rebuilt what would be the price i would be able to sell it for since its a manual transmission i think its worth more?

To be honest, your not going to get back what u put into it with that amount of high miles. Did you buy it to flip it or do u just want out of it? Trading it might be a better option if u want something different. Personally I wouldn't pay more than 5k even with a new paint job.

To be honest, I would just keep it, enjoy it, and give it to one of your kids if you have any. Thats alot for the year, I know its still a Lexus, but even Lexus looses value over 20 years. Lets see some pictures of it. That might be the deciding factor for most of the community on here.

It is a hard car to find, but you won't get much for it. These cars, when done right, can look much more valuable but most wouldn't pay for what you put into it. I say keep it and enjoy. If that was already your plan, then awesome!

You are better off keeping the car since you will never get back what you put into it. Good luck

yea this is why its always much better to spend a little more up front for a car that needs less work and has lower mileage.
