While I have not done this to my SC (need to though) I did a Honda S2K antenna conversion on my former Camry. It removed the mechanical part of the stock antenna and gives a nice clean look. Antenna is removable. It is a good alternative to the stock antenna.

The following guide is for a Camry but is a similar process on the SC. You just have to bend the bracket a different way.

Here is how it came out on my Camry.

Since I have an after market head unit with built in antennae, I just disconnected the motor to the antennae... now its down all the time... looks like an RC car when its up.

This.

Otherwise, the s2k is a good replacement or shave it and get a univeral motorcycle antenna that hides in the pilar or the crack between the windshield and the dash.

No need, there is already a second antenna built into the rear windshield.

I plan on welding up a plug on mine then a repaint of that 1/4 because it interrupts the flow of the body lines in a bad way!

I don't mind the antenna on mine. I just replaced the mast in it last week so it would go up and down on its own. It has darn good reception too, as well it should being as tall as it is..
