Default Stubby Antenna

Anyone ever bought the shark attack 2 antenna from http://www.locustom.com/shark2_kit.htm yet? I tried to call the seller but he never answer or call back. Is there any other antenna that I can buy? My stock sc antenna is broken and just want to update it to the stubby one. Also, for those with experience with the stubby ones, is the reception good?

Thanks,
Ryan

A lot of guys are using the s2000 ones. I have never tried to install one so I don't know what to recommend on where to buy one. According to the link it looks exactly like it.

Yea it's just with the s2000 antenna you need an adapter or mount. With the one locustom is selling it's already mounted. So i just need to get something asap because right now there's a hole and it's raining like crazy here. I don't think the tape and plug can actually hold up with constant water.

the problem is that those (shark fin/s2000) will angle away from the car and look dumb. the acura MDX antenna is the only one that looks good IMO

Check out these useful links:

this was the post that sold me on the MDX:

the locustom mdx antenna is no longer available, your money will be refunded if you try to purchase it btw.

I got the one from locustom last summer. It looks good, but it is angled away from the car. There was a post where someone used the locustom antenna and was able to get to stand straight up but I can't find the post.

The Acura MDX antenna is a good alternative as well.

fill the hole and put this anywhere in your car, was on the floor of my old car and worked better than the oem antenna

You may want to check with an Acura forum and see if they have a vendor that can sell you cheaply. There is also the classifieds forum here.
