Default cluster trouble help...

So I got a sc with a bhg and the therosta went all the way up to h I did a motor swap and the cluster is still all the way up right when I turn the car on but its not stuck cause it gose down when the cars off what could it be what should I look for and what can I do thks I app the help..

What? I think you should quit with the shortcuts.

From what I get so far is the needle needs re positioning. Other than that I dont know what ur saying.

How would I reposition them? basically what I'm saying the car goes to hot right when I turn it over and its definitely not hot

yeah, it's a little difficult to understand what you're saying.
Did you replace the water temp sensor on the new motor?

In that case I dont think its ur cluster. Its something under the hood.

Didnt replace the sensor its a new motor and I changed the water pump and thermostat. what would I
wanna,look for under the hood?

Unplug the temp sender under the hood and see if the gauge still goes up. If it does, it's the gauge.

If it doesn't test the resistance of the sender when the car is at normal operating temp to see if it's within spec.
