Default squeaking noise when rolling windows? fix??

Hi

My passenger side window makes squeaking noises when rolling up (sometimes very loud). Any easy fix for that??
It usually happens more after car wash.. Water-related??
Thanks all and have a good weekend!!

Your black seals are probably really dried out. Buy some kind of seal lubricant or something....I think the dealer sells that stuff too.

use a can of silicone spray. it will take away your problem. spray it on your seals, silicone spray wont hurt the seal, other lubricants will eventually dry it out.

I had the problem for awhile and when i brought my car in to get it tinted they used a can marked silicone spray on it. When you tint a car the windows get stuck on the seals and makes it difficult for you to roll up and down your windows. Well the silicone lube actually did what it's suppose to and plus got rid of the squeaking noise. Wow i said.

Hi

went to Pepboys looking for silicon sprays. i found out these are adhesive materials. its job is to seal the gaps between gaskets and etc. i am afraid these will make my windows stuck forever

can you guys elaborate on it a bit more?

thanks.

Silicone spray can be both. Silicone adhesive is like the transparent stuff that is used like sealing the healights and such. Silicone lubricant can be bought or use a similar lubricant. WD-40 is similar but is used as a solvent also. You can go to any hardware store and ask for lubricant in a spray can. Also, don't spray it on the horizontal channels of the window. It will smear on the windows for a long time. Put it on the vertical channels of the window track. Also, try to find a lubricant that is transparent. Lithium grease will show up white and such..
