2JZGTE swapped SC3 need help finding home for plug
Hey all I just finished dropping in a Aristo 2jzgte into my 95 sc300 5speed. I have everything hooked up from what I can see but there is 1 plug by the ecu and all the body plugs that need a home or spliced into something. here is a pic of the plug IDK where it came from or is it from the Aristo harness or SC harness. Anyways it has 2 blk/org wires 1 yellow 1 black 1 red/blk wire going to it
Also I have another plug thats on the intake side asyou can see in the pic below if any1 can help identify it? it has a grey wire and a blk/red wire?
another connector added.. Any help would be nice just trying to get my beast running. It idles rough then dies out..Maybe one of these connections is the culprit.
Get a pic of the grey connector that shows the end of it and more of the surrounding area. Where does it come off of the loom? The white connector is called the "short connector" and is not used for anything except possibly diagnostics.
thanks for the info so 2 says the white one is not used so it must now be used il go with that. I will get a better pic of the black connector just hanging around the intake side. maybe its used for egr that was on the sc3 setup for some type of solenoid? Its just idles kind of rough and when i gas it, it just dies, Maybe coils or fuel?
Does the check engine light work? Check the map sensor to be sure it has a vacuum hose attached to it also. So did you just add wires to your SC harness to run the engine, or did you merge the Aristo engine harness with the SC body harness?
thanks all car is running a little better now. I had to re-arrange some wiring on the coil packs, but still missing once i gas it. Still running the SC3 fuel pump, IDK if the usdm 550's, mines ecu and usdm turbos are too much for it?
The 550s and mines ecu are probably killing it. For one thing, a Mines ECU will generally add fuel and timing. Pair that with larger than stock injectors and it is probably just dumping the fuel. Of course the stock SC pump is going to struggle to keep up, so its all really a recipe for disaster without a good pump and some way to monitor fueling. I assume you added a resistor pack with those 550s?
i'm pretty sure my boy had the same problem with this plug, we finally found where it went, but i can't for the life of me remember what it was... i'll try and get a hold of him and see if he remembers, i wanna say it was for something stupid though...

Yes I have the resistor would it even start w/o it? Im not at all driving it yet. It starts misfiring pretty bad once I try and rev it up. i will change the pump out and see what happens also check the plugs again since there the ones that came with the swap

Ok cool thanks man. I have been hearing its for some kind of diagnostic
That plug near the ecu in the harness is not used. It is for diagnostics like others have said. Do yourself a favor and put a tt fuel pump in the car before any driving. If you have the aristo ecu, I would put that in and see how it runs. Make sure your main o2 sensor is wired properly as well. If you do not have a wideband on the car, I would strongly consider getting one to see what the car is doing when it is at idle.
