I've seen this swap in person an its crazy clean. You wouldn't believe the amount of room in the engine bay after the ls1 got put in

Hey CL, been a while. Been stupidly busy with work, 50+ hrs a week is no fun...BUT, the car has been started, runs excellently, no leaks, but still extremely loud due to lack of exhaust. Trying to work some things to change up the wiring scheme to clean the mess a bit, but its going to take time.

When I actually get some time at home I will get some updates/vids posted. To those that have sent PM's or visitor messages that I have not replied to, dont take it personal, my visits have been very short, but keeping my visitor messages and PM clear for questions.

See you guys on the flip side, gotta run. Just wanted to let everyone know that the build is still going, just at a stupidly slow pace.

I'm curious to see how things such as the odometer and ignition were connected. It seems like a lot of rewiring was involved.

Well the odometer isnt a huge concern at this time. The ignition was fairly easy actually, but I have decided to go back and re-wire a majority of it to slim down the wire snake thats going through my firewall.

I used an FD/LS1 swap guide to help with the wiring, and the LS harness is very simple in terms of the 12v switched and straight 12v sources. Other than that, the speedo, tach, and ignition signals are straight forward along with the VATS.

The harness has already been torn apart again, and Im making a few other adjustments at the moment, so the car isnt ready to be shown just yet, but in due time, I will have my final schematic worked out, and ready to assist those that need it.

Ok CL, my slow, lazy behind is at it again. After ripping the harness apart again, and redoing a couple things, the LS1 ecu is now sitting perfectly in stock location, and the ecu cover even covers it up. So there should be fewer wires under the hood, with the exception of the battery now being on the passenger side....dont ask.

My quest as of right now isnt getting it to the track or the street, but making it appear as factory as possible, so its a bit time consuming especially with the a/c. But if all goes as planned with the last few things I need to do today, I should have a video very soon (I know I've said this already) of it up and running.

Once Im finished messing with the harness and getting it cleaned, I will have a couple updated pics.

lol, no j/k needed...Was not an easy task. I cant count how many times I have walked into my garage the last couple weeks and simply thought about parting it out

But, its moving along. Should have some time off coming up soon so I can spend 3-5 days straight getting it all sorted.

glad to see it moving forward...I'm just waiting for my LS3 to be finished

Have you done any internals on your engine prior to dropping it in?
