Default Eibach problem

Just had 8230.140 Eibachs installed on my SC300. Are the springs the same for the SC3 & 4? Having some problems.

That sounds like a serious defect in the product.

Check the spring number, it should be 8230.14X...if it isnt, contact the buyer who sold them to you. Do they sit on the perch properly? Any way to get pictures of them?

OK, I just got back from driving it.........bangs when hits a bump but only on the passenger side & he had replaced the upper mount. He said he checked everything & thinks the springs are wrong. I'm not so sure. Struts? Sway-bar links? Any ideas?

Blown shocks wont cause the spring to seat coil-on-coil, neither will s/b links. Only thing I can think of is they are the wrong springs, or factory defect..which again, is highly unlikely. Raise the car up, and check the number on the spring. Thats the only advice I can give right now. Where did you get the springs from? New or used?

Tirerack....there ARE gaps, but only possibly 1/8", then the last couple of coils spread out more....that's why I'm thinking the springs might be OK...
