Default Bumper cornering light mod

Just did my cornering lights yesterday with the help of Dek and Ben.. thanks guys.. We didn't use the diy because it was much more simple then the diy..

Just spliced cornering light into the orange/yellow light on each side of the fender..

Pretty nice mod.. thanks again guys..

any feedback?

I don't think it will pose an immediate problem but if you spliced into the corning lights without a relay that imposes an extra load on that circuit. I don't think the amperage is too high on that circuit so you should be okay.

You may look to doing it with a relay down the road; using this method will be safer and could result in greater light output since you would have two separate circuits.

yeah, i thought of that, so we cut behind the crimp on the cornering light.. so the only power it's getting is from the orange/yellow light on the side..

but you're right.. I didn't think it was that much power, so I'm just gonna wing it..

Fake foglights FTL! You can't even shut them off separately from the headlights like that of '95-'00 year models or even retrofit H3 HID's "properly" without extensive modifications. You should've just left 'em as cornering lights IMHO. Lovely looking SC btw.

P.S It looks like you have an SC400 and someone removed the OEM lip.

No, I don't have any pictures of the actual wires, but once I get another candidate I will be doing a DIY on this..

I don't know what FTL means? and yeah I know that I can't shut them off like the 95+ years and that's because mine is a 1992.

yeah my lip broke off and is sitting in my room waiting to be fixed or sold.. whichever comes first

Actually, these fake fog lights come in handy. I have them on mine and they light up the sides of the street, which is nice since my neighborhood is dark at night and people like to walk around.

I do wish I had actual fogs like the 95+, but these are fine.

Haven't seen a big logo sticker on a rear window in many years. Please, take it off
Do you have exhaust pipes or were they removed for photo #1?

I took off my muffles because there was an anourmous amount of water in them.. and again I am too lazy to put them back on..
