Will only the sc300 5spd pedal assembly work for the SC400? I read a decent amount and looking towards purchasing the W58 kit from quantum-auto. Also, is there a way to modify the center console or must I use a 5spd sc300 center console?

For those of you who have done it, how much more powerful is the sc400 5spd than the auto because of the way the automatic transmission works (some genius stuff)

Is there anybody else who makes the adapter kit besides Quantum-auto. I have the funds for the conversion kit, just wanted to see if theres anything cheaper.

you dont need a 5spd sc console you'll just have to get a boot and put it over the shift ****.

i believe the sc300 pedals will work only, people have tried mk3 pedals and i dont think they fit.

and search is your friend

well you can buy the cad. file off ebay for $25 by v-eight.com and get someone local to cut you one but the rest of the kit you would have to piece together. There are other kit mostly over seas, you can also buy the adapter to a few places like 1uzfeswapkit.com. I not vouchin for any of these places, so good luck. Any plans on doin anything to the motor???

I personally know the owners of quatum-auto and can vouch for them and their products. Great local guys that do fine work and really know their information. They will help you as much as possible and overall the swap is not too hard to complete. After my swap I highly recommend using SC300 pedals and ONLY a SC300 manual driveshaft, if you want to avoid any modifications to it. Let me know of any questions you have or always feel free to contact the guys at quantum.

Oh, the cad. file is the drawings for the adapter plate? As of right now I dont think i'll be doing anything to the motor except for the BFI, just want to use it as a cruising car with a manual transmission. Maybe later down the road if I find more information about s/c i'll go for that.

I would prefer to use sc300 parts so I won't bother with modifications but they're so hard to find. I been searching for a long time and haven't been able to find much information except for one or two write up's but they don't fully describe everything.

No you need the SC3 Auto rear + SC3 manual DS or the whole SC3 manual DS.
The SC4 DS is completly different it will not work.
