My 92 sc300 stock 1jzgte would not rev past 2000 rpm and wanted to fall on its face.. I unpluged my map sensor it did the same thing.. I unpluged my intercooler system and the same thing... I unpluged my tps and it bogs a little bit but revs up perfect.. i think it is the tps but i dont exactly know which one since im tryn to order it from advance auto.. just ordered a 92 turbo supra one.. will this one work or should i buy i different one.. i know there is alot of threads bout this but i need to know for sure.. Wud up!? Yeah i think it is the tps but i will know in 2-3 days... I am going to cancell the 92 and order a 94 tps.. There is alot of talk about this problem but not much answers.. I know my car ran like a champ up to yesterday and this swap was done rite so no wires are backwards.. I think it makes logic if u try unhooking the intercooler at the throttle and at the turbos and it does the same thing so i know your intercooler is fine... i did unplug the map sensor and it ran a little worst but still felt like i have a rev limiter..lol.. so when i left the car running tried unpluging the tps and it bogged a little but rev rite the f@ck up.. i was cheesen.... i put it back in and the same thing and tried this like 5 times so yeah if u tried what i did i think it might work.. or it might not.. who knows but yeah ill let everybody know so someone can just look at this thead and get a basic checklist of what to do..

your car isnt throwing any codes----

if it was a tps it should throw a tps code

i hope you find out your problem faster than i did -----took me over a month and over a grand to find out that my cam sensor plug was loose----

if you have a 92 sc than get a tps for a 92 sc-----no need to experiment with supra tps's or newer model tps's--i dont think there is any gain from that----

Update.. I unpluged it and drove around the block..wow.. it runs even better without it pluged in.. it must have been going bad for a while.. im waiting on the part to see if it stays running good when i plug it in.. cant drive it anymore bc i dont want to foul out my plugs.. i ordered a brand new one for $110 so thanks anyway.. u have any other parts for sale.. i hope the part comes in tomorrow

 

I havent check the codes.. that should of been the first thing i did but untill i upluged it i was stuck at my house and i alread ordered it so we will see

 

Update... I changed the senser with a 94 supra tps.. i was worried the sensors werent interchangable bc mine is a 2.5 jdm motor..i marked on the old one where its position was.. put the new one on and adjusted it to where the old one was and then started it.. it did the same thing i was pretty pist so i upluged the battery from both post and also left my door open so all the power would get drained.. waited like 15 mn and then connected the battery and tried it again.. it worked if i could of did a backflip i would of.. so i go for a test drive and noticed it didnt at all jerk now when i was in 1st at a low speed.. when i hit it it was it was braking the brand new 285 tires loose alot more than before and when i hit into second it broke em loose like never before.. i was cheesen.. i dont think it gave me more anything i just think it has been goin out for a while bc i have a smic and sometimes the car wouldnt run as fast as other times and i thought the ic was the prob but now i know it works pefect.. i drove through the city for like a hour tryn to get people to race but everbody was scared it seemed.. i need to stop hitn it letn know how it runs bc everytime they dont want to race.. i have the stock exhaust with no cats and mod downpipe.. and its hard to get atttention when tryn to race but i love how much of a sleeper it is.. i have a 3 inch exhast with a big *** muff but its too loud and i dont care what anyone says it runs just as good with stock with no cats but its allegal.. n will keep u out of trob if u like hitn alot.. but yeah i hope this thread helps.. oh also it stoped blown a little smoke out bc the tps is working correct
