Lots of people run it. LexusFTW I believe runs it is in 750rwhp SC300. Just become a rep for your area and you can get it super cheap

I use it if just bought a "perfered member" card $20.00yr you can order whatever you want a wholesale cost+tax. i have a dist center near me so i just go pick it up. i run the 0W-30 signature series in my 98SC4. With their synthetic oil filter & oil IMO its in the top 3 out there.

Also, anyone know the part number for the Amsoil oil filter for our car? I don't think they make one because they only list a Mann one when I input my car info in.

I use Amsoil all the time, but as of last year was unable to get the filter for our cars. My brother distributes Amsoil and says that they no longer produce the filter for Toyota/Lexus applications, mostly due to some problems with the 1.8 four cylinder and sludge problems with the extremely fine filtration possible with Amsoil filters. So they stopped for the entire line of engines. He supplied a Mann filter the last time I ordered one. If you check their site, all you'll see for our cars is the Mann filter, which means that it doesn't have the extended change interval that the older Amsoil filter had.

Here are a couple of links for the filters:

And the official Amsoil page:

So you would suggest a K&N filter or something else? I don't plan on running my oil for more than 4000 miles anyway.

Damn, i just went to my account and looked up my filter & just like your saying Mann oil filter ML1003 98sc4, that sucks, the longer interval filter made it more afordable to run the big$ oil. More expense, whatya gonna do.

The intervals don't concern me too much. I'm more about how the oil performs in real time.

I've never changed a synthetic at more than 4K miles.
