Default Good Turbo

Hey guys im getting ready to do a 2jz swap in my sc. I am wanting the 600-650 hp range so i can beat this 500hp hatch in my town. I want a turbo that doesnt have huge amount of lag and will get me near the hp range i want. i hear i should to with a t67 but i figured i would go with a few suggestions

BWs362 will give you quick spool crazy low end tq but will be maxed out at around 500hp. You don't really need that much hp to beat a higher hp fwd car. The honda without good slicks and on a warm day will be like any other street honda spinning the wheels. You should be able to run with that or any other street car with 500tq and good driving.

i would look at the gt35 for really quick spooling... i'm talking about full boost at a bit above 3k rpm

Id definitely look into Borg Warner turbos
a buddy of mine just got one for his built mr2. I'm not sure of the model at the moment but at the top it flows like a gt35 but it spools quick like a gt30. He's pushing something like 450whp and its still got a ton of room to turn it up.

A T88? lol Do any of you guys know what your talking about? There would be WAYYY better choices.

2jzLextasy, ... 650rwhp, is going to take ALOT of mods, ...wayyyy more than just a turbo. You'll need multiple fuel pumps w/ larger lines, ....big injectors (at least 750cc), ...fpr, ...a good fmic, ...a standalone or piggyback fuel/timing computer, ....aftermarket cams would be a good idea. You'll either need a built auto, or st least a r154 with a good clutch, ...lsd diff, ...no matter the turbo, you'll probably need race gas, ...or pump, with water/meth, ...and the list goes on...... Get ready to drop some coin.

Agree. garret and precision are really good don't get me wrong but borg has some some really good r & d. I was reading somewhere about their fin design and how it increases spool. Can't find the link now but I'd go with Borg if I were to do it again.
