Its like night and day difference. I sold my working old amp and replaced it with a new one. I did reuse the factory speaker wiring, but all the other needs to ran from the battery. If you need the factory wiring diagram to do this, or tap in to the factory wiring, PM me. I have it. I would also recommend changing out all the speakers or upgrade to 6 1/2 in the front and 6x9's in the rear. Throw the factory sub in the garbage or save it for a huge paper weight. Use another type of sub! JMO
so im going to attempt at wiring my subs next week and i juts have some question.
1.can i use the existing sub woofer wire that goes to the head unit after i disconnect it from the stock amp?
2.how do i wire a line output converter for my new sub woofer/amp?
3.do i have to remove my radio to wire anything?
Are you planning on leaving the stock amp in the vehicle to grab signal for the line-out converter? You'd need three of those scosche line-out converters for front/rear/sub or you could use this Audio Control LC6 for all channels.
Whoops... Sorry misread your post. You are correct all wiring you need will be at the amp with the exception of power. You can grab signal as well as the remote turn-on off the amp really easily.
So when wiring my new subs. Can I cut the old signal wire from the old stock amp out and connect those to the loc to gain signal? I'm still a noob at stereos so sorry if I asked any obvious questions
