will i be able to hook up my aftermarket sub and amp with my stock headunit?
i have a 1999 gs 300. Im not sure if the headunit has an inline converter or not.

im trying to fugure out the same thing... do we bypass the factory amp or does that power all the speakers in the car incuding the factory sub?

 

check out the fosgate 360.1 or 360.2
may be more than you need though. soche make a $20 converter as well. if you are just doing the sub, get your wiring diagram and cut the sub input before the amp and apply rca heads to it. then just run it to your aftermarket amp. of course, it may not be that simple. lol.
