the general consensus is if you need to prove that you absolutely need to be different by spending a hilarious amount of money with little to no gain in performance, then by all means. You'll get a few props from a handful of people that might actually appreciate it, but at the price of what you are willing to spend, you'll get the same amount or more by being completely 'mediocre' with a fully build single turbo 900 hp GTE swap with all the bells and whistles you can dream of.

But hey, whatever it takes to be different i guess.

why, because it's already been done in another toyota sharing the same platform.

if you actually did this, it wouldn't even be groundbreaking or anything. You'd just spend hella money when you could have just swapped and built a GTE and had great power.

this concept just seems like it's for the 'shock value'. but in terms of WORTH and expense, its pointless. imo.
"Net" your absolutely right, on one thing, the main reason someone would attempt a swap like this, is for the shock value that goes along with it.

HP wins the shows, TQ wins the races.

That V12 should have nothing but gobs of TQ.

I give props to him for thinking of the idea of a V-12 in the SC. Its not everyday that we read about a V-12 on here, just mainly swaps and turbo's. I say got for it, then you can make a patent on the handful of parts you made and sell them on here for some of us!

Stripped down, the 1GZFE-V12 engine has near identical heads of an I6 motor. So technically yes its 2-(JZ) motors merged together.

Your just looling at that shiny 12 not the fact that its only a 5.0L motor.

Just by going stock NA numbers, its clearly the more powerful engine.

I never said it was more practical or cheaper. There are 100 reasons why the 2jz and 1uz is better. Just going by assumptions, the 1gz will have more torque @ each rpm compared to the 2jz and the 1uz.... at least NA.

Turbo's mess up all those numbers haha.

I just think the 1gz is a really cool and rare engine... and it will give the wow factor.

Yeah that thread had me glued to it. I wish the guy was finished with the build so I can get an idea of what to look out for.
