Default BIG suspension problems

My SC has become an absolute mess suspension wise. I feel EVERY bump in the road and the SC usually pulls left/right over large bumps. I had an alignment done about 2 weeks ago to "fix" this problem and it was considerably better for a couple of days, but has now gone back to terrible. My girlfriend won't even drive my dream car anymore! I'm thinking bushings (all around) are the culpret, but would there be this much suspension problem? Thanks in advance for any insight.

Broken/torn Front LOWER control arm bushings are a Very common problem on these cars(start expecting these to go bad at 100,000 miles or so). Most everyone just changes these out with Supra Front Lower control arms (cheaper price). What's the mileage on your car? Front Ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, steering rack bushings.suspension mounting bolts loose, any one of these things (could be more than just one thing as well) could be the culprit. ALL of these things are very easy to check to see if the are defective/worn. Just do a search. ALSO, check for bad tire problems, and bent wheels, wheel balance etc., search and check and ye shall find....

Like other dude said it could be a variety of problems. I was in the same position, blown shocks and worn lcas. I installed coils and LCAs and STILL have that same bullcrap where the steering wheel jerks all over. Time to do rack bushings now...anyways good luck.

If not anything mentioned above, check the inner/outer tie rod ends.

Ugh! Who knew that SC suspension would be such a nightmare? I have issues with my suspension as well...That's why I'm just saving my money to have a suspension set up where everything is fully adjustable, From coilovers to LCA's you name it.

My SC has 174,000 miles. I will get under the car tomorrow and hopefully find the problems. I did notice earlier that my steering rack boot is torn open on the driver's side.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I totally feel your frustration. I use to drive a 92sc3 which drove very nice at the beginning, but eventually drove like sht also. What I started first was replace the steering rack bushings with urethane ones, both sides, and it actually drove worse, Lol.. I have no idea why but eventually I replaced them with factory Lexus ones, and it took away the steering play almost immediately. Then I replaced both upper control arms following, gave it an allighment, and all the problems went away. It actually drove like a brand new car. Hope that helps.
