Pretty sure thats they way I did mine except the gasket was at the bottom. The directiosn are so ****ty for these...

or is it the white bucket at the bottom and the circular ring on top of that?

I installed mine they way you have it, and it works fine although it puts the rod underneath at a weird angle and theres nothign 'short' about the throw, imo. Still better than stock.

I had the bottom 2 parts switched. My throws got a lot shorter. I can shift without having to move my arm much...just a little flick of the fingers and wrist.

cool are you guys sure that gasket should go at the bottom?

That means I have to take it apart again tomorrow.

Also did you add grease to anything and if so to what? I drove it around tonight, it seems okay...

also noticed that my trd shift **** isn't going to work that's fantastic.
Does the stock shift **** work with this??
What about this?

Thanks

You're right. The TRD **** won't work unless you modify it to fit...i went through the same problem. The stock **** will fit, but what's even better is if you get a weighted shift ****. I got the Greddy counter-weight **** and I love it (except on hot days and it gets scratched up). The extra weight will help make the shifting easier with the shorter shifter.

That Greddy **** you posted should work too. I don't know how heavy it is though.

Cool did you add grease to anything on the short shifter?

And BTW we should add to anyone else that may search for this later that the beveled part of the round aluminum ring should face downward toward the ground to install. I believe thats right.

I like your shift **** better for a sc300, the other **** is a bit too sporty for a luxury car.

Do you have traction control or are those seat heater buttons? Is your car black interior?

Got any more pics of the install or your car?

Thanks man

I don't remember adding any grease. I've had the shifter on for about 3 years. So far, so good.

Those are seat heater buttons. I did a black interior conversion on my car.

Here are some pictures when I still had the tan interior (with that TRD **** that didn't fit) and a few other pictures with the black interior...

This is the manual for a 6 speed supra Cs shifter. Really similar.

I based the order of the last 2 parts on page 5 and 6 of this, let me know if you guys agree

I bet this thread will really help others doing the mod any way

You should add grease to the inside of the white socket.

I'm using this same shifter with the Soarer R154. fyi

Ah I may of been wrong then.

I dont see how it REALLY makes a difference though... its a 1mm piece of rubber, I think the whole point of it so it compresses and makes it tight inside, so nothing rattles around.

Regardless, do it as C's says.
